3g Pico

Postby Flake » Sat Oct 03, 2009 4:48 pm

I've finally got my boyfriend hooked on the reef. He no longer begrudges spending money! It's a miracle. So I bought him a present. :)

Let's see what he does with it. He's trying to build the tank entirely out of frags from the other tanks. We got him a cleaner shrimp today that will go in once it finishes cycling.

It's an interesting looking tank. I'm quite fond of it. Say hi to Pumpkin, she's the orange tail.

It's a wetdry filter that's built onto the tank. Not too sure I like it there long term. We'll see.

i think aqua-cave. I was ordering some frag plugs and thought it would make a nice pressie. It's nice to see a complete nano system for sale. Lights are hard to find.

IMO, to small for a cleaner. Might want to try some sexy shrimp ;) . Other than that, nicely done! Should be fun to watch this one progress.

I already have a cleaner, i'm aware how big they get. It's not a permanent home. My lfs doesn't see sexy shrimp very often, we looked. Mail ordering inverts makes me nervous so this is something we have to make sure he can keep up with before we take the chance. We found the teeniest of cleaners. It should be fine for a few months just to provide *some* bioload.

OK, just checking. That would be a good tank for a clown goby IMO.

That was my thinking as far as fish, but he's way more interested in the corals. He's happy with a shrimp and frags. I like the fact that he's easy to please. I just wanted a place to keep track what he did with it. He was blown away by the before and after on the 46, so this will be there for him when he wants to see it. :)
